This is a rendering of a gnome statue. Drawn from life with 2H, 2B, and 3B pencils. I know the composition is boring but any other crits are wanted/needed. Tell me what you think.

I usually don't like gnomes, but this little guy caught my attention. I love his expression as well as the amazing realistic details. Nicely done.

I don't think it's boring at all because I collect these little guys! I saw this over at ~ThePencilClub and had to come and check it out. Your drawing has great contrast between light and dark. And I love the scratchiness of your shading! Very nice!

haha the scrachhes were a mistake caused by starting with a harder pencil to draw out proportions. glad you liked it though.

This should/could have did better than bri-chans. More effort, better details you deserve the fave on this one. It's just better art. Admit it.

Wow thats really good. You already have most of the basics down in terms of knowing how to draw real life people/objects with pencils, so Ill spare you the lecture on that. However, I do think it could use some more work using a 4b pencil to really push some of the darks really black. You could also take your eraser and create some new highlgihts here and there.

Its definately a very well crafted drawing, and I think the view is actually more interesting than you think it is. Its not easy to draw at that angle and get that good of depth in your subject.
